20 minute workouts = $
so today i have to leave for work 2 hours early (30 seconds to mars tonight!) so i thought about skipping the workout to get in some more sleep. then i realized that if i wake up at 6 (only a little earlier than normal) i can do my 20 minute TurboFire HIIT workout and get in a KILLER workout in a short time. perfect! so now i’m done workout out and about to get some shakeology before doing my hair (i.e. girly things) before going to work.
yesterday even though i didn’t work out i survived without falling asleep at my desk. i consider that a win.
the food: shakeology, an apple, four cabbage wraps (spinach artichoke hummus, 4 slices of smartdeli veggie turkey, a delicious avocado, and 2 slices of soy cheese wrapped in a piece of delicious cabbage), a mix of strawberries, bananas and cheese, and some leftover vegan eggplant parm w/a plain whole wheat bagel thin
today i already know i’m going out for pizza lunch but hopefully the jumping up and down at the concert will cancel out those calories!

it’s friday! and that means officially one week of TurboFire: done. yesterday’s workout was fire 30 again and it’s crazy how quickly you pick up the moves… too bad it all changes tomorrow! it’s been an awesome week and i think a lot of it is because (a) i started TurboFire, (b) I got my shakeology finally, (c) I got a salad spinner so i can have non-soggy lettuce, and (d) i got to see my two best friends from high school, did dinner with my mom, and got some molly’s cupcakes. divine i tell you.
the workout: Fire 30- i was falling asleep last night thinking “jab cross hook upper” over and over in my head… this stuff is addicting!
the food: chocolate shakeology with delicious fresh strawberries and some almond butter, some almonds, half a vegetable arrosto panini from buona beef with fruit on the side (half of the panini is only 241 cals… not bad for an italian beef place!), some romaine lettuce with strawberries in a raspberry vinegarette, some AMAZING soup my mom made (tomato basil with kale, chickpeas, whole wheat rotini, and lots of seasoning), and the rest of my panini for dinner. and a peanut butter nutella cupcake. it was just sitting there staring at me! i swear! OH and a glass of delicious yellow tail pinot noir. $5 at target!
the music: i can’t get enough of the alkaline trio pandora station… today it played MGMT. i think it should just be called the “terry” pandora station.
now i’m off to face friday and start my awesome weekend of attempting to be super fit and healthy- two new turbo workouts to look forward to this weekend!

shakeology cleanse: day 1
just finished the first day of the shakeology cleanse and i survived!! though i think i’ll make a few adjustments tomorrow.
the basics: drink shakeology 3xs a day (mix w/only water). have a piece of fruit in between if you need to/want to. eat a salad for dinner with lean protein, nuts, fruit, whatever you want. drink TONS of water. and then drink more water. and feel your body eliminating all those toxins!
tomorrow i’m going to use more water with my shakeology- i tend to like my shakeology with milk and other fun things so with just water it’s super chocolatey, which is awesome of course, but if i add more water it’ll still be chocolatey and it’ll last longer. i’m also going to add a second piece of fruit to my day since i was starting to feel really light headed by the end of the day.
my salad for dinner tonight was AMAZING. i’m definitely not a salad person (unless we’re talking about the portillos chopped salad) but for the cleanse i got some dried fruit and nuts and a bunch of romaine lettuce and some tofu. for the tofu i just let it sit in some liquid smoke and braggs liquid aminos for a few minutes while i chopped my lettuce and then i threw it on the george foreman for a minute to get hot. SO delicious. and i figured the braggs and liquid smoke were probably the best things to marinate in when doing this cleanse. i really wanted to do teriyaki or something fun like that but i feel like the braggs and smoke are “raw” so they’re less hurtful to the body. so for tomorrow i’m marinating my tofu overnight so it’ll be even more flavorful when i grill it tomorrow!
sooooo it was a little rough around 5pm to focus and not think about my growling stomach but when i got home i got to eat my awesome salad and now i’m totally satisfied. i am planning on doing boot camp in the morning so we’ll see how that goes!

i always eat so badly on the weekends!! today i started the day with leftover ian’s pizza from last night. then i went out to late lunch/early dinner at red robin and split some onion rings and fries and a vegan burger smothered in teriyaki sauce and pineapple. it was delicious but holy cow! so not healthy! i have to make sure i get my booty into the gym tomorrow for boot camp even though i am off work. maybe even some insanity.
totally looking forward to the shakeology cleanse this week- got my shaker thingie (that’s the technical term) and i’m going to the store tomorrow to get salad and fruit stuff to supplement the shakeology!
excited for the week, weekend, and next week!!!
